Redefining tradition with modern branding and innovative event curation for the launch of India's premier HP Indigo 20K digital press.

The 75-year milestone presented an opportunity to refresh Jaipur Printers' brand identity while launching the new digital press. However, the challenge lay in:

  • Convincing the traditionally inclined company to adopt a modern logo and structured brand identity.
  • Drawing attention to a technical product launch that would appeal to diverse audiences, including industry professionals, current clients, and aspiring designers.
  • Organizing a large-scale event in just 15 days with meaningful engagement across target segments.

How Nine Degree addressed it

1. Rebranding Jaipur Printers

To honor their legacy and highlight their forward-thinking approach, we designed a bold, CMYK-inspired logo. The clean black typography symbolized strength and heritage, while the CMYK palette subtly represented their printing expertise. A tagline, "Infinite Print Possibilities," was introduced to showcase their expanded capabilities with the new HP Indigo 20K press.

2. Event Conceptualization

We proposed a two-day event at Jaipur Printers’ factory to immerse attendees in their 75-year journey. Key components included:

  1. Three Audience Categories: Industry professionals, current clients, and design students/artists.
  2. "Vibrant Hues" Competition: Artists, photographers, and design students submitted 350+ artworks featuring vibrant colors. Of these, 30 pieces were selected, printed using the HP Indigo 20K, and showcased at the event.
  3. Factory Walkthrough: Attendees explored the factory, learning about both heritage and state-of-the-art machines, including live demonstrations of the HP Indigo 20K’s capabilities.
  4. Collaborations: Partnered with HP and Redington India for technical support and student recognition.

3. Event Branding & Promotion

  • Developed a cohesive visual identity for the event, reflecting vibrancy and innovation.
  • Managed social media campaigns, including boosted posts on Instagram and curated content to maximize event visibility.
  • Designed an event-specific landing page for registrations and competition entries, ensuring a seamless user experience.

Impact

1. Engagement

Received over 350 competition entries, with significant participation from design schools and artists.

2. Footfall

High turnout across all three target categories during the event.

3. Brand Visibility

Strengthened Jaipur Printers’ position as an innovator in the printing industry.

4. Sustained Branding:

Adoption of the new logo and brand guidelines across all touchpoints, including signages and collateral.
